Here is my short journey—a glimpse into everything I’ve learned, explored, and discovered about managing money wisely.
What started as curiosity turned into confidence, and numbers turned into life lessons.
WHO SAYS FINANCE IS BORING???
My name is Krisha Bondia, a Class 10 student at Hopetown Girls’ School, Dehradun, and I had the exciting opportunity to attend Introduction to Financial Literacy Internship organized by Zamit, held from 19th May to 30th May, 2025. I stepped into a world that most teenagers don’t get to explore — the world of money, mindset, and smart choices. The Internship started with the very relatable concept of “Budgeting Your Life”, where I learned how to track my spending, distinguish between needs and wants, and create a monthly budget that actually works for my lifestyle. We didn’t just talk about saving — we learned how to make money work for us. I discovered how tools like credit and debit cards function, their pros and cons, and how misusing them can lead to debt traps. We also explored different types of bank accounts, including savings, current, fixed deposits, and digital wallets, understanding which account suits what purpose and how they help in real-life financial management.
What I loved most was breaking down complex financial terms like assets, liabilities, credit, debit, interest, compound interest, net worth, credit score, inflation, and even emergency funds into easy-to-understand examples that actually relate to our daily lives. We did simulations where we took financial decisions, learned from our mistakes, and celebrated our smart moves. I realized how important it is to build good financial habits early on—because whether you’re a student or a working adult, money management is a skill that shapes your future.
The most interesting part was how interactive and engaging each session was—we weren’t just sitting and listening; we were actively solving problems, playing finance-based games, working in teams, and applying concepts to real-life situations.
Thanks to Zamit, I now feel more confident and aware, ready to take on the world not just with dreams, but also with a financially wise mind and a plan to back it up. This Internship didn’t just teach me about money—it taught me how to own my financial journey.

When I signed up for the The Basics of Market Research and Analysis Internship, I assumed I would be learning a few things about research—what I learned was much more. I was able to walk for a brief period in the real world of market research, and it made me think completely differently about data, decisions, and the relationship between the two.
One of our initial assignments was oriented to design questionnaires. It might sound trivial, but it reminded me how urgent it is to ask the right questions. A good survey is more than just a list—it’s a way of understanding what people believe, like and do. It’s the way in which this part gets done that’s at the melting core of everything to come.
Having collected these responses, we then transitioned to developing the datasets. This is where it got really interesting. I watched raw responses get scrubbed, sorted, and shaped into something valuable. It was like sorting out puzzle pieces first, before I’d even seen the picture.
Then we rotated to one of my favorite sections: the SWOT analysis. Based on actual data, we were able to define: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opoortunities and Threats. This stage is where I learned how businesses—or on a smaller scale or projects—could leverage research to make intelligent and strategic moves. It was not a theory; it was an application.
